Tuscan cuisine

Through this door you leave Switzerland and enter the land of Tuscany. This is what our customers will find written on the entrance door. The phrase takes up a famous triplet from the canto dell’Inferno of the Divine Comedy by the great Florentine poet Dante Alighieri, the father of the Italian language.

Our desire is to create in a Swiss city an osteria where you can really breathe, taste and feel the atmosphere of a typical Tuscan restaurant run by a Florentine family. With the know-how we have acquired over the years, we want to offer a food and wine experience in Switzerland to customers who will certainly appreciate being pampered in a well-kept and original ambience with a strong more than Italian ‘Tuscan’ inspiration. In addition to being one of the most beautiful regions of Italy and the world, Tuscany has become a brand that expresses art, nature, and the culture of food and wine. This art and nature can be perceived not only through the furnishings, the colors, the lights and the many details, but above all through the dishes served, such as peposo all’imprunetina, a beef stew cooked in Chianti wine whose recipe was devised by Filippo Brunelleschi, the famous Renaissance architect who devised it for the workers building the extraordinary dome of Florence Cathedral that he designed.

Imagine entering an osteria where you will be greeted by the warmth of Italian hospitality through contemporary and up-to-date style that will bring you the colors of the beautiful Tuscan countryside, where the details are reminiscent of the art and beautiful cities of this splendid region, where you will see food being prepared by hand with gestures that have been handed down from distant times while listening to conversations in the original language, where traditional recipes will be transformed into dishes prepared by interpreting the trends and tastes of our times served by ‘Florentine staff’ whose history you will learn about through the pictures on the walls.
